To Whom It May Concern:I first became
associated with An Arm Full of Help during the winter one year.
I was in need of food, firewood, clothing and general
assistance. I live in a rural area of Missouri and had not even
the money to be able to get a phone to communicate to anyone
that I needed help. My husband has been in prison for several
years and I had four children; we were desperate for help. I was
very appreciative and thankful when several people from An Arm
Full of Help came to mine and my families aid.
They brought me food, clothing and bought firewood and
brought it up to me. Two of my children had birthdays that month
and they made sure my children had a beautiful party with
everything and beautiful gifts at each party, and since then
when my childrens' birthday came around they have received very
nice presents from An Arm Full of Help.
The volunteers did carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs
on my home and cleaned my house and fixed my vehicle so I could
get around. They installed a phone line in my home and paid for
telephone services to be turned on and has continued to pay the
bill since that time. I know that I can call them any time I am
in need and they will give their whole heart to helping me as if
I were Jesus, because they are Christians and believe and do as
Christ says, "If you've done it unto the least of mine, you've
done it unto Me."
Since their first visit they have kept in touch, in fact,
this winter I received a phone call from a volunteer from An Arm
Full of Help checking on me to see if I needed any firewood or
anything else. These people showed kindness and concern for my
children's and my well-being without expecting anything in
return, as they know their rewards are in Heaven.
